I see very little about nutrition. Three out of the five original articles are touting the benefits of gastric bypass surgery. The cover image has a nice article discussing adiposty, metabolic disease and protein signals

More on Obesity: A JAMA theme issue http://jama.jamanetwork.com/issue.aspx?journalid=67&issueid=24943&direction=P – A lot a interesting articles discussing adipose tissue signals promoting inflammation and the need for more research looking for the cause. Not much about nutrition. One article discussing the NYC decision to ban sugary drinks. Disappointing to me but expected, there was absolutely nothing about alternative approaches to nutrition. And yes, one childhood obesity study with the same tired advice – Eat less and exercise more!
